TA is psychological en communicative model. Plain concepts make complex processes understandable, both in an individual and between people. As the name discloses TA starts with the analysis of transactions between human beings. \u2018What do I do that makes you act this way?\u2019. Once you understand, you can start to change what you want to change.
\nFamous TA concepts are: \u2018I\u2019m OK, you\u2019re OK\u2019; styles of communication Parent, Adult, Child; the dramatriangle of Victim, Rescuer, Persecutor; script (the unconscious story of our life); strokes (entities of attention); contracting.
\nTA presupposes that every human being is accountable for their own life and that people can keep on developing. The concepts are very accessible. TA offers a theoretical and practical frame for life and work. TA helps to see patterns and gives concrete options for change.
\nTA started in the USA in the nineteen fifties. Psychiatrists wanted a model that helped them to be effective in a lasting way. Nowadays TA is used in coaching, organisational development, education.<\/p>\n
